Project updates

The Ministry of Labour has made several efforts to adapt labour laws for more inclusive employment.

The Asociación Cooperativa del Grupo Independiente Pro Rehabilitación Integral de R.L. established a counseling agency specialized in training people for the workforce as well as to provide awareness-raising sessions to employers on the inclusion of people with disabilities at work.

Overall, the situation of people with disabilities in employment has improved significantly, but there is still a lot to do including: training people with disabilities, making public transportation, companies and public institutions accessible and fighting against stigma and discrimination.
